In celebrating Black History Month, USTA Texas is featuring Texas volunteers every week in February who have impacted their tennis community in positive ways. We feel that it is important to recognize volunteers who are dedicating their time to growing the game of tennis in our state. Our volunteers are a key component to making the Texas section one of the best in the country.
USTA Texas would like you to share your stories on African Americans who have influenced you in tennis and how tennis has influenced you as a African American. These stories can be of how legendary tennis player, and Texas native, Zina Garrison inspired your playing style or how your grandmother’s assistance in getting to tennis practice always kept you active. Please use the nomination form below.
